For Immediate Release
Washington, D.C- Patricia Shaw of the University of Kansas has won two tickets to the 2010 Super Bowl at Land Shark Stadium in Miami, FL.
The tickets were the grand prize of a raffle hosted by Shaw’s honor society, The National Society of Collegiate Scholars (NSCS) and KODA (KODA.us), an online career search and networking tool, to celebrate their new partnership.
To be eligible to win the tickets, NSCS members had to create a profile on KODA, answer a few questions and provide the link to their profile. Shaw’s profile can be seen here: http://koda.us/people/shawp22
Winning the tickets came as quite a shock to Shaw who received the highly-anticipated call on January 25 from NSCS Executive Director and Founder Stephen E. Loflin.
“I am so excited about winning the tickets to the Super Bowl! I love football!” Shaw said. “This is an opportunity I may never have had in my life without this raffle.”
Loflin was excited about the opportunity to award Super Bowl tickets to an NSCS member.
“My staff and I were thrilled to be able to give something as unique and exciting as Super Bowl tickets to one of our members,” said Loflin. “We really appreciate KODA for supporting NSCS members and providing the tickets.”
Shaw is a fourth year student in the Master’s of Architecture Program. She is a native of Olivet, Mich., and is hopeful that her KODA profile will make it easier to find positions that match her needs.
“I plan on using my KODA profile to search for internships and jobs for the summer and after I graduate,” Shaw said. “I hope it will open up opportunities I had not considered before.”
