Service—there are those who talk about service and there are those who take action and initiate change. NSCS is comprised of members who go the extra mile to make a difference within our communities. Through service, NSCS members are able to reach out to those with fewer opportunities and provide them with new resources.
Our nationally recognized tutoring and mentoring program Planning to Achieve Collegiate Excellence (PACE) helps to guide local youth on a path that leads to college. Click here to see how our chapters “Embrace PACE!”
Our chapters are deeply committed to service and coordinate a variety of service events each year. From book drives that support local schools to a 5k race to end breast cancer, NSCS chapters are dedicated to serving charitable organizations and people in need across the country. The honor roll, found on our blog TalkNerdy2Me TM is one of many ways NSCS recognizes the outstanding events and community services activities taking place at chapters throughout the country. Check out the latest campus stories by visiting the honor roll here.

Our service partners are a resource for members to learn more about service and they offer opportunities for members to get involved. With partners that include Teach for America, America’s Promise Alliance and others, NSCS members can be inspired by and get involved with the work our service partners do throughout the country.
