Scholar at Sea Scholarship

NSCS and the Semester at Sea program are pleased to offer the Scholar at Sea scholarship allowing students to visit nearly a dozen countries while studying on a sailing campus. The University of Virginia academically sponsors this program and grants credit from more than 70 courses. One $7,000 partial scholarship is awarded for each fall and spring voyage and five $2,000 scholarships are awarded for the summer voyage. Eligibility:

  • Must be an active NSCS member
  • Must be attending an accredited university
  • Must have a minimum 3.4 G.P.A
  • Must have a complete profile on NSCS
  • Must be a fan of your NSCS Chapter Fan Page on Facebook
  • Must create a profile on www.koda.us/nscs. Your Koda Profile must be at least 80% completed. (This is indicated on the koda.us website)
  • Must have applied to the Semester at Sea program Spring 2010
  • Must be accepted and enrolled in the Semester at Sea program for Spring 2010
  • Please note, all scholarships are disbursed directly into your Semester at Sea student account
