Merit Award $1000

Each year NSCS awards $1,000 scholarships to 30 outstanding new members across the country to help defray the costs of education. Merit Award recipients are selected based on how they honor and inspire academic excellence and engaged citizenship for a lifetime on their campus throughout their undergraduate experience.

Key Dates:

  • Application Opens: January 24, 2012
  • Application Closes: July 2, 2012
  • Notification Date: September 5, 2012

Eligibility

  • Must have at least a 3.4 GPA
  • Must be an NSCS member in good standing
  • Must be enrolled in an undergraduate program in an accredited institution
  • Must be an NSCS member who joined between July 1, 2011 and July 2, 2012

Please Note

  • All checks will be disbursed directly to your school
  • Essay responses may be used by NSCS for varying purposes
  • If selected, necessary information must be received by NSCS within two weeks of notification date or scholarship will be forfeited
  • NSCS reserves the right to change any aspect of this scholarship at any time with or without notice
