Distinguished Service Award

The National Society of Collegiate Scholars is proud to announce the Distinguished Service Award which recognizes one NSCS member who has distinguished himself or herself by performing an exemplary accomplishment which has created a significant direct impact on NSCS members or the overall organization.

We are looking for extraordinary accomplishment such as starting a new and extremely successful chapter, significantly improving or initiating an NSCS signature program on campus, or implementing a unique service initiative or program for NSCS members on your campus.

The student will receive a $1,000 check, a plaque presented by an NSCS board member at the 2011 NSCS convention, and an all expense paid trip to the 2011 NSCS National Convention.

Eligibility

• Must be an active NSCS member
• Must be attending an accredited university
• Must have a minimum 3. 6 G.P.A
• Must create a profile on www.koda.us/nscs. Your Koda Profile must be at least 80% completed. (This is indicated on the koda.us website)
• Must have an updated resume on NSCS Scholar Jobs

Funds will be sent directly to school.

Recommendation Letter Instructions

• All recommendation letters must be emailed to DSA [at] nscs [dot] org no later than July 30, 2010
• Please use subject line "Distinguished Service Award Recommendation (student's name)"
• Please do not fax the  letter of recommendation. Recommendation letters faxed will not be accepted.
• Please do not mail your letter of recommendation. Recommendation letters sent via postal mail will not be accepted
• Your recommendation letter should include recommender's email address, phone number, title, and signature.
• Only recommendation letter and paper application should be sent to DSA [at] nscs [dot] org. Please send scholarship questions and issues to scholarships [at] nscs [dot] org.
