Scholar Abroad Scholarship
Studying abroad has become more than just a way to learn a language. Modern studies suggest college students need more international and cultural knowledge to successfully adapt to society post-college: having an international background is an important tool socially, professionally and educationally. NSCS proudly offers scholarship funding to help expand our members' horizons. One $5,000 scholarship is awarded each fall and spring semester and one $2,500 scholarship is awarded for the summer term
Eligibility
•Must be an active NSCS member
•Must be attending an accredited university
•Must have a minimum 3.4 G.P.A
•Must have a complete profile on NSCS
•Must have an updated resume on NSCS Scholar Jobs
•Must have applied to the study abroad program of your choice for Fall 2009
•Must be accepted and enrolled in the study abroad program of your choice for Fall 2009
•Please note, all scholarships are disbursed directly to study abroad program
Fall 2009 Application Key Dates:
•Application Opens: June 25, 2009
•Application Closes: July 15, 2009
•Notification Date: August 11, 2009

Recommendation letter FAQ:
All recommendation letters must be postmarked by July 15, 2009
•My recommender sent in their recommendation letter late. Will it still be accepted?
•No.it is your responsibility to let the recommender know of the postmark deadlines. No exceptions will be granted.
•Your recommender can also fax the letter of recommendation with NSCS
recommendation form, so far we have the signature of your recommender
