Hi! My name is Sarah Brown and I am from Potomac, Maryland. I am currently a junior at the University of Virginia, where I am pursuing a double major in French and Art History. I am thrilled to have been chosen as the Fall 2008 Scholar at Sea Scholarship winner, and I am excited about my global voyage!
Outside of classes at UVa, I enjoy playing ice hockey for the UVa women’s ice hockey team, and volunteering at the SPCA through the university’s volunteer organization, Madison House. I am also an active member of my sorority, Kappa Alpha Theta, and work at a small off-campus clothing boutique in my free time. I love traveling, music, languages, and sports.
I think it goes without saying that Semester at Sea will be the adventure and opportunity of a lifetime, and I look forward to experiencing first-hand these many different cultures around the world!
