Scholar of Promise

Service is one of the three pillars of The National Society of Collegiate Scholars, and NSCS strives to celebrate and recognize members who make a positive change in the community. Members can earn recognition for their service activities through the Scholar of Promise program.

NSCS supports individual service efforts to improve the lives of children and recognizes those who do as Scholars of Promise. In partnership with America’s Promise–The Alliance for Youth, NSCS is part of a growing alliance of more than 1,000 members strong and encourages NSCS members to provide young people with the fundamental needs that every child deserves.

Members who complete 50 hours of youth-oriented community service within a 12-month term will receive a signed certificate and letter from America’s Promise and have their name posted on the NSCS Web site.
