Get hands-on professional experience and earn credit from Georgetown University when you become an NSCS Distinguished Scholar.
In partnership with The Fund for American Studies, NSCS provide opportunities for its members to spend a summer or semester living, learning and interning in the nation’s capital.
Programs are offered in the following subject areas:

Program Components
Internships – Competitive placements with top sites in Washington, DC Classes – Up to 12 transferable credit hours from Georgetown University Housing – Roommate matching and furnished apartments in the heart of DC Guest Lectures – With Washington’s top policy and industry experts Exclusive Briefings – At the State Department, World Bank and Capitol Hill Leadership & Professional Development – Leadership, mentoring and career building activities Networking – Interaction with seasoned professionals and student leaders from around the world Scholarships – Approximately 70% of students receive funding based on merit and financial need
NSCS members are eligible to apply for scholarship funding from The Fund for American Studies. Awards are based on financial need and merit.
NSCS members will receive a 5% discount on their tuition balance. To be accepted into the program as a NSCS Distinguished Scholars, members must email Mary Connell, Recruitment and Admissions Director at The Fund for American Studies, at mconnell@tfas.org to inform her of their internet to apply.

The National Society of Collegiate Scholars (NSCS) is an honors organization that recognizes and elevates high achievers.
