United Healthcare

Student injury and sickness insurance.

Your continued success depends on staying healthy while in school.  Protect your future with student injury and sickness insurance for NSCS members designed to help cover the cost of health care for you and your family.

The plan provides coverage both on campus and off by any physician or hospital (without the need of a referral), and the deductible is only $200 per person.  If you enroll, your dependents are eligible for coverage, too.

Value-added benefits not found in most individual health plans are included with every policy at no additional cost:

  • The UnitedHealth Allies® discount program provides up to 50% savings for a variety of healthcare services and products including dental, vision and wellness. Enjoy additional savings on massage therapy, sports apparel & equipment, fitness club membership and even textbooks. The discount is accepted at thousands of locations nationwide.
  • The Collegiate Assistance Program (CAP) provides 24/7, toll free access to a team of Registered Nurses and Student Assistance Specialists that are there to help you address common problems and stressors that can detract from academic success. CAP professionals can assist with health, personal, school, legal or financial concerns before they become unmanageable.
  • Emergency Travel Medical Assistance provides access to a wealth of emergency assistance services when you travel 100 miles or more from home or campus; from help in obtaining a forgotten prescription to locating a medical provider or facility in a foreign country.

Visit www.uhcsr.com to review the plan's details and cost. Select "Find My School's Plan" from the home page and input "NSCS" into the search field. Then simply click on the NSCS page link to learn more.

Online enrollment takes only minutes, and payment is accepted via credit card or eCheck.  You may also download an enrollment form, complete it and return it to along with your premium payment to the address indicated on the form.
