The National Leadership Council is a special opportunity for a select number of members to serve as an advisory board to the NSCS national staff and Board of Directors. NLC members are chosen based on their dedication, service, and commitment to NSCS. Leadership, academic excellence, and community involvement are other strong traits that each NLC member must exhibit and continue to demonstrate throughout their term. The Council will collect feedback from their campuses to improve the NSCS experience for all members and will speak at their chapter’s Induction Convocation in the fall. NLC members will serve as peer resources to chapter officers and the national member engagement team. Serving on this prestigious advisory board gives each member valuable experience working with a national program and an incredible chance to contribute to the success of NSCS.
Selected members of the council will be selected to serve a one-year term on the NSCS Board of Directors as the President and Executive Vice President of the Council.
To be eligible to apply, you must be an active member of NSCS within your local chapter, and you must plan to be on campus for the entire academic school year. Applicants must also meet the minimum 3.4 cumulative GPA requirement. Visit the application for more information on the selection process.
