NSCS Graduate School Member Connections

Fact: Graduate schools want students who have more than academic talent.
Graduate schools crave students who show initiative, ask questions and seek answers, and have the potential to succeed while in school and continue after graduation. In short, they want individuals with the characteristics innate to NSCS members.

As a result, several grad schools have become what we call Grad School Partners.
Basically, they said, “We think NSCS members tend to be right for us. We’d like the chance to get to know some of them better.” And we said, “Great idea. You can set up a booth at the NSCS Convention if you’d like, so you can talk one on one with interested members.”

In return, members interested in going to grad school will have the opportunity to be actively recruited.
Instead of "cold-calling" a grad school, they can develop personal relationships with recruiters and maybe even faculty members, so that they have an easier time connecting to the right school.
