NSCS Members are eligible to apply for The Fund for American Studies summer program in Washington, D.C. and be accepted as NSCS Distinguished Scholars. These students will receive priority admissions and scholarship consideration as well as a 5 percent discount on their tuition balance.
NSCS is partnering with The Fund for American Studies to bring NSCS members a summer program that combines academics with real-world experience. As a Distinguished Scholar you will take classes in your major at Georgetown University while you intern at an organization that advances your professional aspirations.

Public Policy & International Affairs Program: Engalitcheff Institute on Comparative Political and Economic Systems
This program is designed for students interested in the fields of public policy, politics, economics and international affairs. Students take courses in political science and economics, while interning with federal agencies, international affairs organizations, think tanks, policy groups and political organizations.
Journalism Program: Institute on Political Journalism
This program is designed for students interested in a career within the fields of journalism, communications or public relations. Students take courses in ethics and economics for journalists, while interning with newspapers, radio stations, online publications, news services and public relations firms.
Business Program: Institute of Business and Government Affairs
Students in this program gain exposure to the world of lobbying and the relationship between business and government by taking courses in public policy and business, while interning with corporate government affairs offices, trade associations and lobbying firms.
Nonprofit Program: Institute on Philanthropy and Voluntary Service
This program is designed for students involved with community service and interested in pursuing a career in the nonprofit sector. Students take courses in ethics and the American tradition of philanthropy, while interning with local charities and national foundations.

Scholarships
NSCS Members are eligible to apply for scholarship funding from The Fund for American Studies. Awards are given based on financial need and merit.
