Washington DC Grand Hyatt   - our home away from home for the 2009 Convention.  


Convention attendees, you’ll always have something to do during your free time!


The Hyatt is within walking distance to several DC national attractions, delicious restaurants and off-the beaten path destinations - not to mention several Metro lines. In fact the metro stop for the hotel “METRO CENTER” (on the red, blue and orange lines) will lead you right to the hotel’s lower lobby!

Planes

Have your fare benefit NSCS use Travelocity!


Reagan National Airport

There are plenty of airports you can fly in to – but this is the easiest, most convenient airport – and it’s the NSCS airport of choice due to its easy on-site access to Metro!

Other area airports:

Dulles

45 – 50 minute Super Shuttle ride to hotel.

Baltimore (BWI)

50 - 60 minute ride to hotel.

Trains

Amtrak


If you prefer to travel by ground the train is a great way to get in to the city.  This will take you straight to Union Station – which leads you right to the Metro!

Automobiles

Within hours of the city? – Take a bus straight in to DC! Check out DC2NY, the Bolt Bus, and 2000 New Century. Many of these buses have comfy seats and wireless internet – an NSCS office favorite!


Others who prefer to travel by bus can also take the Greyhound.  

 

 

HOW TO GET FROM HERE TO THERE…

Washington DC Metro System

Once you get to DC and when you explore the city there are several ways to get around.  The easiest and most convenient is the Metro.  You’ll feel like a real Washingtonian by the end of the week!  

*An easy way to pay for Metro fare is by buying a Smart Card at any Metro Station. The Smart Card will can also be used on Washington, D.C. city buses.


If you prefer something less crowded and above ground you can hail a Taxi or hop on a bus.
