Bailey Kasten

Director, Operations

Bailey Kasten is a native of small-town Iowa, but now calls Washington, DC her home. Bailey moved to D.C. in 2001 as she came to American University to study political science and learn in the nation’s capital. She graduated in 2005 with a B.A. in Political Science.

Bailey has been a lifetime member of NSCS since 2002 and has worked in the NSCS national office since 2004. As Director, Operations, she focuses on training and development, technology, human resource management, and office management. In addition, she works with student interns in the office from the DC –based NSCS chapters - one of her favorite aspects of her job.

One of her favorite moments with NSCS was participating in the Rebuild Louisiana Service Spring Break Trip with NSCS members in 2007.

Outside of the office, she enjoys tutoring, reading, DC theatre, and enjoying the abundant events and happenings of Washington, DC.

Bailey is currently serving a two year term as a member at large on the American University Alumni Board of Directors.
