2009 Service Initiative Grant Competition "The Engaging Race"

Ready, set…serve!

In honoring our continuous commitment to community service, NSCS proudly presents “THE ENGAGING RACE” – our 2009 Service Initiative Grant Competition.

“THE ENGAGING RACE” opportunity offers up to five (5) NSCS members* the chance to apply and compete for a $15,000 “service-ship” that will provide the financial support they need to make a difference through their own original service initiative.

At the conclusion, the service project that made the biggest impact in the allotted time frame– will be awarded $15,000 to take that service initiative to the next level.

NSCS members will vote to decide on the best initiative and the winner will receive an all-expense-paid trip to “Be The Change | Become The Legacy”  - NSCS Convention 2009,  where they will present their project and be awarded the Service Grant at the 15th Anniversary Celebration and Awards Honor Gala.

•The NSCS scholarship committee will select the best five (5) proposal plans to award a $1,000 grant to... and the race is on!

•The five selected finalists will maintain a blog that will include pictures and videos on how their project is going (the more creative and engaging the better!)

•NSCS members will vote for one finalist to be awarded the $15,000 grant based on:

•Who has accomplished the most with their $1,000
•The final proposal for the $15,000 grant
